Dr. Randy Scott graduated from WSU in 1979 and immediately began practicing at Playfair and Yakima racetracks. He became a co-owner of the Associated Veterinary Group in 1989, which is the oldest mixed animal practice in the Inland Northwest. In 2001, Mt. Spokane Veterinary Hospital was built and the practice moved to its current location.
Randy’s vast experience in equine sports medicine was gained through working with race horses at the racetrack, and now he receives referrals from around the Spokane area for lameness and other medical issues in horses. He enjoys working with companion animals as well as farm calls out to local cattle herds. When not working, Randy enjoys packing his mules and horses and driving his team of Fjords. Randy and his wife Claudia live in the Colbert area and operate a small horse boarding stable. The “Zags” play a major role in their winter recreation, as well as spending time with their three children and three grandchildren.
