Veterinarian

Position Overview

Mt. Spokane Veterinary Hospital is located in the beautiful Inland Pacific Northwest, 25 minutes from downtown Spokane and in a lovely rural area.  Home to a beautiful four-season destination, there is always something to do. Practice Overview

At our practice, we proudly open our doors to a wide variety of animals. We are a full- service veterinary practice providing orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, small animal reproductive services and complete dental care with dental radiography. What You’ll Be Working On
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of veterinary cases
  • Perform general wellness exams, surgeries, and dental procedures
  • Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
  • Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
  • Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
  • Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Washington
  • Minimum of one year of experience in veterinary medicine preferred, new grads encouraged to apply
  • Experience with small animals and an interest in exotics preferred
  • Surgical interest preferred
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for building relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Licensed Technician

Position Overview

  • Assisting the doctors in surgery and oversee patient cases
  • Overseeing surgery case, including inducing and anesthesia monitoring
  • Helping train and equip fellow staff
  • Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations
  • Helping administer treatments and performing diagnostic tests
  • Recording health information about animals
  • Advising owners of pets about caring for their animals at home
Qualifications
  • Open to growth and learning
  • Service focused, as well as team and detailed oriented
  • Able to lift more than 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Licensed in Washington State
  • High school graduate
  • Two+ years of previous veterinary experience or equivalent schooling
  • Familiarity with Avimark is a plus
