Samantha Berube, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Berube grew up in upstate New York and graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. After graduating, she took a gap year and worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital for a year and a half until she was accepted at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Being accepted at WSU was a great excuse to make the cross-country trek and try living out west, like she had always dreamed. During her time in veterinary school, Dr. Berube held officer positions and was an active member in our student chapter of American Association of Equine Practitioners and the WSU Theriogenology club. Dr. Berube received her DVM in May 2023 and is very excited to start her career with Mt. Spokane Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Berube’s special interests include equine medicine, large animal reproduction, and surgery on all species. In her free time, she loves to hike and backpack through the Northwest with her fiancé, Alec, and her two Australian Shepherds, Maia and Evie. She also has one kitty named Dusty and a Quarter Horse named Badger, who she loves to take out on trail rides. If she’s not outside with her animals, you can usually find her getting cozy with a good book.
