Veterinary Care for Equine Animals

At Mt. Spokane Veterinary Hospital, we take pride in providing veterinary care to a wide range of different animals, including horses and stallions. We're proud to offer:

• Equine Dentistry: to help ensure the horse's dental hygiene is properly cared for.
• Equine Reproduction: Performing mare cycle management including hormone therapy and atificial insemination using fresh, cooled and frozen semen. 
• Health Certificates and Coggins: Performing proper examinations to provide a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Coggin (EIA) Tests are ran to search for Equine Infectious Anemia.
• Hospitalization: for immediate, in-clinic care.
• Lameness Exams: to identify the source of a horse's discomfort, which is essential for athletic performance.
• Surgery: including castrations, mass removal and wound management.
• Pre-purchase Exams: to assess the health of the horse and discuss any issues that may compromise its ability to meet buyer expectations.
